Fast and precise decoding of nameplates
Our technology makes it possible to quickly and efficiently read the information on equipment nameplates (mainly used in industry) and link it to data available on the web, e.g. on the manufacturer's website.
Due to the use artificial intelligence, scanning the nameplate will help you quickly and conveniently get the necessary information about the device. This can include data about spare parts, service, technical specifications of the product, user manuals and list of suggested replacements.
Additionally, user can search offers on the secondary market, available on platforms such as Allegro and eBay.
Our solution also automates the process of product registration in the system. Registered products can be more easily managed after the sale, offering customers additional services like extending the warranty, sending notifications about updates or potential safety risks. An additional benefit is the ability to generate reports, streamline service, or automatically calculate points in the bonus program. The application has geolocation features that will help companies monitor where and when devices have been installed.
What is behind the scene?
The user scans the device nameplate and gets valuable information regarding it together with some help resources like links to the manufacturer's website, the product related website and the service related website. Additionally there is some more functions available when the product is identified. You can use e.g. ebay, allegro or google search directly from the app. There are also some "sales buttons" available for ordering new product, spare parts & consumables and service.
Each scan means that the new device record will be created in the database.
The manufacturer having the active subscription can utilize the great potential of data related to its products.
But it is not only about the installed base. At the same time a new direct marketing channel to end users is created. The same with a new direct sales channel.
Data and machine learning model
Our machine learning model is continously improved (retrained). We systematically add new brands to make SmartDecoder app more and more precise. The better trained model, the better the decoded results are.

We give you a choice to use
(1) Standard model - our own machine learning model (default, free, data processed and stored on Epacta servers only)
(2) Premium model - third-party machine learning model (optional, paid, data processed and stored on both Epacta and third-party servers.)

You should know that even a brand is not on the list it can be still decoded by SmartDecoder app but the confidence factor is not optimal in that case.
